Mahmoud Seyedi

Mahmoud Seyedi is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at Ontario Tech University, awarded with the GITS scholarship for his program. He is working on glass advanced micromanufacturing and Spark Assisted Chemical Engraving (SACE) machine and his research focus is the optimization of resulting geometry and surface quality of the final product. Mahmoud is conducting his study under the supervision of Dr. Ahmad Barari and Dr. Jana Abou Ziki in AD2M labs and they are seeking to develop a variety of methodologies and emerging algorithms to control the microfabrication process, which leads to SACE digitalization and achieving local prediction and compensation of the results of the machining uncertainties. Mahmoud has B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from University of Tabriz, Iran and his master thesis was dynamically simulation and sizing optimization of Suspended Microchannel Resonator (SMR) and Piezoelectric Microcantilever Biosensor. He also worked for 3 years as a resident engineer in LIROK cleanroom technology company in Tehran, Iran. Besides mechanics, his interests are Persian traditional music, movies, psychoanalytical lectures, board games and hiking.
